Up to 100% faster than other crosscut
systems.1 The HOLTEC "V" series incorporates depth-programmable controls and is available as an optional cutting assembly on any HOLTEC stationary system.
The "V" series enters a unit of lumber at a canted angle for the smoothest possible entry, then swivels to a horizontal plane upon reaching your programmed depth. This allows you to leave bottom layers of lumber uncut for easier handling of short packages.
Because the swivel point is adjustable, the "V" series cutting assembly has a rated top to bottom stroke speed of fifty-five
seconds;2 that's up to twice as fast as other systems1 and almost thirty-five seconds faster than conventional HOLTEC systems.
Our "V" series cutting assembly is an invaluable asset for manufacturers whose production require short lengths by allowing these lengths to be stacked on bottom (uncut) boards for easier handling.
The "V" series cutting assembly comes equipped with our exclusive Scratcher® chain technology and HOLTEC R-12 Double Stellite® Guide Bar assembly, both of which are designed to maintain a precision of +/- 1mm (.040") on every
cut.3 Unlike conventional chain saw chains, which tend to chip, tear and splinter limber, Scratcher® chains leave a planer finish on your lumber.
The "V" series, however, can easily be adapted to use virtually any type of bar and chain assembly, including thin kerf (3/8") .404" pitch chain and bar assemblies for industrial uses.
