PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE DETAILS
IMPORTANT!
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CAN ONLY BE PERFORMED IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA ARE MET UPON THE SCHEDULED ARRIVAL OF OUR TECHNICIAN
SYSTEM MUST BE ACCESSIBLE (FREE OF DEBRIS/SAWDUST/ETC) AND MUST BE DISCONNECTED FOR THE DURATION OF THE SERVICE
WE WILL ATTEMPT TO PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF 24 HOURS ADVANCE NOTICE PRIOR TO OUR SCHEDULED ARRIVAL DATE.
The following is a detailed schedule of our Preventive Maintenance Program.
This schedule is a complete list of serviceable components and items on our systems but your individual system may or may not include all the items in this list.
Components requiring extensive repair may incur additional charges
An estimated cost will be submitted for your approval prior to the replacement or repair of any item not covered under this preventive maintenance program
The following parts and services ARE INCLUDED IN THE COST OF THIS SERVICE

• Anchors, bolts, nuts or other fasteners
• Retaining clips and pins
• Grease lubrication fittings
• Filters (hydraulic/oil/air/gas)
• Drive fluid for DEMAGS
• Lubrication strainers
• Indicator light bulbs
• Tension nut, O-rings, and spring assemblies
• Latches and knobs (compartment and door)
• Gliding guides
• Oil Lubrication lines and fittings
• Drive chain tension rod
• V-Belts
INCLUDED SERVICES AT NO ADDITIONAL COST
• Guide Bar regrinding to right angle and truing if required
• Chain maintenance techniques (time permitting)
• Operator retraining (time permitting)
Parts not covered by this program can be replaced on-site by our technician at no additional labor cost during this on-site service
INSPECT & SERVICE AS REQUIRED
MECHANICAL COMPONENTS
- Inspect FRAMEWORK, including all welded joints for structural fatigue and proper alignment
- Inspect HANDRAILS, PLATFORMS, STAIRS AND SAFETY STRUCTURES
- Inspect FASTENERS & ANCHORS. Tighten and/or replace as required
- Inspect SAW/CARRIAGE AXLES & BEARINGS. Grease and replace grease fittings as required
- Inspect TRANSPORT DRIVE SYSTEM. Oil and adjust chain tension assembly as required
- Inspect GEAR DRIVE FLUIDS. Refill, or change according to specified interval by manufacture
- Inspect VERTICAL ALIGNMENT SUPPORTS/ROLLERS. Adjust and align if necessary
- Inspect HORIZONTAL TRANSPORT ROLLERS. Lubricate and align if necessary
- Inspect PILLOW BLOCK BEARINGS. Lubricate and adjust locking collars as required
- Inspect LIFTING DEVICE for proper operation. Lubricate and adjust as necessary
- Inspect COMPRESSION DEVICE for proper operation. Lubricate and adjust as necessary
- Inspect BUMPER WALL ALIGNMENT. Align vertical and horizontal rollers if required
- Inspect BUMPER WALL DRIVE SYSTEM for proper operation. Lubricate and adjust tension assembly as necessary.
CUTTING ASSEMBLY
- Inspect GUIDEBAR for proper wear. Clean, rotate, adjust deflection, straighten and grind as necessary
- Inspect BASE UNIT. Adjust for proper alignment to frame, and re-align if necessary
- Inspect GUIDEFRAME/GUIDEBAR RELATIONSHIP. Adjust for proper alignment and re-align if required
- Inspect TOOL HOLDER. Clean, lubricate and adjust for proper operation
- Inspect GLIDING GUIDES. Replace if necessary
- Inspect CHAIN RETURN WHEEL for excessive wear
- Inspect CHAIN RETURN BEARING for excessive wear
- Inspect CHAIN RETURN LUBRICATION NIPPLE. Replace if necessary
- Inspect CHAIN TENSIONING ASSEMBLY. Clean, lubricate, and adjust for proper operation
- Inspect CHAIN DRIVE SPROCKET for excessive wear
- Inspect SWIVEL BEARING ASSEMBLY. Check shaft end-play for proper operation
- Inspect DRIVE V-BELTS. Adjust for proper operation and/or replace if necessary
- Inspect V-PULLEY ASSEMBLY. Adjust for proper operation as required
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
- Inspect HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. Check tank, lines, and fittings for leaks or wear
- Clean HYDRAULIC OIL FILTER. Replace if necessary
- Inspect HYDRAULIC FLUID LEVELS. Top-off and/or change according to specified interval by manufacturer
(Hydraulic fluid - "SHELL TELLUS 32" or equivalent to be supplied by customer)
- Inspect MANUAL DISTRIBUTORS for proper operation
- Check HYDRAULIC PRESSURE. Adjust as necessary
- Inspect HYDRAULIC PRESSURE VALVES. Adjust for proper operation
- Inspect HYDRAULIC PUMPS for proper operation
- Inspect HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS for proper operation
- Inspect HYDRAULIC MOTORS AND BRAKES. Adjust for proper operation.
4.) OIL LUBRICATION SYSTEM:
- Drain and clean OIL LUBRICATION TANK
- Inspect OIL STRAINER. Clean or replace as necessary
- Inspect OIL QUALITY and advise
- Inspect LUBRICATION LINES AND FITTINGS. Adjust and/or replace if necessary
- Inspect OIL PUMP for proper operation. Adjust pump output as necessary
- Inspect FLANGE AND BEARING ASSEMBLY for proper operation.
5.) ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
- Inspect CABINET AND PANEL. Check seals and clean debris
- Inspect RELAYS for proper operation
- Inspect THERMAL OVERLOAD PROTECTORS. Adjust for proper operation as necessary
- Inspect RELAY TIMER DELAYS. Adjust for proper operation as necessary
- Inspect CONTROL SWITCHES AND BUTTONS for proper operation
- Inspect ALL LIGHTS for proper operation. Replace as necessary
- Inspect LIMIT SWITCHES. Adjust for proper operation as necessary
- Inspect ALL ELECTRICAL WIRING for proper connection. Repair as necessary
- Inspect EMERGENCY SWITCHES for proper operation. Repair as necessary
- Inspect ELECTRIC MOTORS AND DRIVES for proper operation
- Inspect ELECTRIC MOTOR BEARINGS AND HOUSINGS. Clean and adjust as necessary
- Inspect ELECTRIC MOTOR MOUNTS AND BASES. Clean and adjust as necessary
- Inspect ELECTRONIC LENGTH INDICATOR for proper operation, and recalibrate if necessary
- Inspect CNC-PLC CONTROLS for proper operation
Test system functions, adjust constant inputs if necessary, check program execution and recalibrate if necessary
GENERAL OPERATION:
- Advise on abnormal wear patterns or conditions
- Advise on possible improvements to material flow
- Advise on safety violations
- Advise on operator efficiency
- Advise on foundation or external structural problems
- Advise on routine maintenance requirements
