A HOLTEC system produces approximately ½ (half) cubic feet per minute (CFM) which is not a significant volume. Most of this dust is directed to the base of the cutting unit (carried primarily by the chain) however some ambient dust may also be produced during the cut.

If your system includes a HOLTEC Waste Conveyor, this directed dust generally will be transported by the conveyor to the point of termination of the conveyor.

For additional dust containment, HOLTEC can provide a dust collection (blower) connection (1) at the base of the saw and/or (2) at the return wheel assembly of the saw.

For V-Series systems additional containment can be provided by the additional of vertical “drop” curtains on either side of the cutting assembly.
